Exactly what is so bad about it?

I say, this app is worth every buck. I find it extremely useful, especially since I’m “on the run” a lot. I really don’t have hours upon hours of available time that could be spent on a much better suited program on my laptop or computer. Some people say that this app is confusing as heck, and in the beginning I have to agree with that. For me, that’s just how any app shifting from PC to mobile may seem. For some people it could be a downgrade because a smartphone will never compare to a gigantic CPU, but this app really isn’t all that bad, and for only $15 , I believe? Moral of the story, if you like anything mobile and you want to start making some beats, this app is perfect. If PC is more your thing, just use it on PC!

Why is mobile so complicated?

You would think Fl mobile would be a condensed user friendly version of Fl , it’s not! It’s just another version of Fl studio or a mini vst. Y’all get 3 stars because I’ve recorded a full project in the app with the intention of transferring to pc for editing. Doesn’t work. I’ve tried saving and opening the flv file (mobile save, open on pc). Doesn’t work. I would track the project out in mobile but god that’s a lot of work. Maybe you guys can create a track out button for the future? Also why can’t I cut my recordings, like separate the sample/ recording at a specific point? Maybe y’all could let us control trim from the front and back end of the recording/ sample. That would definitely help me. I’m ready to this project full of 🔥. Please 🙏🏾help

Stick with garageband for iOS recording.

I love FL studio on my pc, i really do, but I do most of my recording on my ipad these days since it’s basically a laptop which means i can work on music anywhere as long as i have headphones, but considering I love FL studio on my pc, particularly the effects and virtual instruments available, I thought it would be the same on iPad. It’s similar... except for the part where you pay an unusually high amount for an app only to find out you just paid for what would be included in the free trial of any other app. Only the absolute basics, and you’re expected to pay more to get any effects or instruments other than the basics. Most ad supported free music apps are better than this, and garageband blows it away. Just don’t make the same mistake i did and actually spend money on what is essentially a “free trial”

I am, I admit, a newbie to FL Studio, and not an owner yet. But I have a few things to say from my evaluation of the demo. THe program has among the best VST synths included of anything else I've tried. What is a drag, tho, is the need to use the presets 'browser' over and over--due to the lack of a true well-done browser in the softsynths, even on flagship Sytrus. Having a 'spreadsheet' preset menue, as on Sytrus, which upon selection of a preset closes is absurd. The process of selecting a preset can take time, and SHOULD NOT involve dozens of unnecessary mouse clicks. For examples of a great browser in a synth see Tone2 Rayblaster or Electra2. SO, despite being a newbiw, I'll drop a feature suggestion right now for FL Studio. In the browser, under 'generators', each icon should have a sub-icon which on clicking opens that generator's presets. The way it is, having to return to the main browser menu, find the 'generator presets, than the particular generator, then the presets is a very poor example of 'workflow'.

I also find the step sequencer over ridgid, and involves way too many clicks to work smoothly. DragnDrop is always good, but the program's architecture needs work. What I would think should be 'intuitive' is not so intuitive. Part is my inexperience with FL Studio, but I am no novice to using DAWs in general. The DrangnDrop is not as intuitive as it could be. The program is not quite--tho almost--worth the VSTs alone.Having said that, FPC does not work, makes no sound, even the presets don't play. The drum implementation --in terms of poundage of drum dreck in the machine, with specialized Kick, Sampler, etc----- requires making 'beats' from scratch. Why make ridiculous drum loops when there are so many great loops available? FL Studio should include a bunch of high-quality MIDI drum loops. Final word: way too much clicking needed in the browser.
